The Clayton County Council of PTA’s and the organizers of the Atlanta Contemporary Jazz & Neo Soul Festival believe that kids thrive when given the chance to learn and play music. Putting an instrument into their hands improves the quality of their education and their lives. The window is brief and all kids deserve a chance to play music in school!
Music is a gift that touches lives every day. Through our work, your support, your passion and contributions of thousands of donors, young people can experience the power and the joy of playing music. One of the ways you can help is by donating gently used band and orchestral instruments.
During the Atlanta Contemporary Jazz & Neo-Soul Festival on August 17 – 18, 2012, at The Beach at International Park, we will accept donations of gently used band and orchestral instruments. We will have them refurbished and sent to needy music programs throughout Clayton County. We cannot accept pianos, organs, or accordions. To donate, please bring your well-packaged instrument to the festival. Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address inside the package. A tax letter will be sent within 8 weeks of receiving the instrument. We always like to know the history of the instrument and how you decided to donate it to us, so if you like, please include that as well, or send an e-mail with the information.
